What they should do is use UAV to locate targets and designate them with laser, and use Krasnopol to pinpoint bomb them from 20 km away behind front lines.

Not sure if you are aware how little is 20km in mobile combat as it is now.

Go and ask someone from recon units what he thinks about going to tag a target.

Almost all battles fought in Syria are within a few km. It'll also prevent collateral damage to civilians. Just shoot all of their pickup trucks and artillery and the war will be over. They won't fight on foot with AK-47.

Maybe a new Koalision with 70km guided shell could do the job. They could try it in live war. They probably have enough prototypes right now to send one or two in Syra. Not on the front but to protect the airbase.

Russian Air Force pilot killed in Syria placed to final rest in southern Russian city

More than 30,000 people came to the final farewell ceremony

    http://tass.com/society/989149

VORONEZH, February 8. /TASS/. Major Roman Filipov, the pilot of the Russian Air Force who died on February 3 after his jet had been downed from a shoulder-carried missile launcher in in the Idlib de-escalation zone, has been placed to final rest in the city of Voronezh, some 600 km to the south of Moscow.

More than 30,000 people came to the final farewell ceremony at the Officers’ Club in the Northern garrison town and 2,000 people proceeded to the Kominternovsky cemetery to attend his entombment.

Maj. Filipov’s relatives, military people, schoolmates, clergymen, and members of Yunarmia young people’s association were among the attending members of the public.............

What they should do is use Mi-28N and stay close to friendly ground forces. They can land close by and get refueled and rearmed by friendly ground forces. They can blow up pickup trucks from more than 4 km away. Much safer than Su-25.

Big forking deal, even if they all got killed (which they definitely didn't) it's irelevant. That's what mercenaries are for

Huge money=huge risk. It's in the job description.

well, its just the point of it all.

You got people screaming about something that was proclaimed but no evidence of such. In reality, we have only heard of maybe 1 or 2 deaths of soldiers (ISIS Hunters) and the rest injured. If there were 100 dead, it would be rather easy to get a video and photos. If it was a dead Russian, we would get tons of videos and images. Yet, none.

There are all sorts of suckers who believe any BS about Russia. For example, that Putin's is a secret billionaire. But nobody
can provide any evidence of his holdings. If Putin was a money grubbing crook he would be the first to kiss Uncle Scumbag's
ass. We can see this pattern in the form of grifter Navalny who is called "the opposition leader". The use of "the" is quite
thick and rick by the NATO fakestream media.

Yeah, its friggin hilarious, made even funnier by the Putinophobes utter inability to find any of these 100s of billions of $/Euro/gold bars whatever that the Horned One has somehow "stolen" from the "people".... theyhave even attempted to claim that Putin is so devious as to "hide" his 'stolen wealth" in.... the BANK ACCOUNTS of other people!!! or putting "stolen property" and assets in other peoples names!!!

Of course, the fact that doing such would make that wealth legally BELONG to those people and not the Horned One seems to be completely lost of these Putin-hater fuckwitz...... Very Happy

Its all a huge farce, a propaganda campaign designed to smear and besmirch. We are supposed to set aside all critical thinking and just accept the premise that a man who we are told is an absolute dictator, with total control of the media, and who has no qualms about sending assassins after anyone who dares challenge his rule(Suspect), would somehow need to hide his "stolen wealth" where no-one can possibly find it, and would continue to live a relatively modest life without the trappings of immense wealth.... Putin maintains a private residence, a private vehicle, a country dacha... but no vast marble & gold encrusted palace like a Saudi royal would own... no fleets of silver plated luxury cars... no huge private yacht... no fleet of private jets... no real estate in Monte Carlo or the French Riviera.... for fuck sakes, I could continue all day.... Another one that is funny that people are ignoring is Wagner company in itself.

They say it's a Russian company. It isn't actually. The company is based in Taiwan. Not Russia. Because......PMC's are an illegal entity in Russia (this may change soon since a lot of pressure is being applied to Russian government and even people within government is pushing it). But who gives the contracts? Possibly Russia. But some speculate it's the US as well. Maybe not Taiwan. Maybe Argentina. Since they don't register as Russian.

Most of what comes out about Wagner group, comes from Ukraine. So take it with a great amount of salt.

The fact that most ordinary people in the West can't put two and two together like you've done here tells us just how extreme and extensive the propaganda machine is: it has gotten to the stage where even basic logic is superseded by political correctness or a "fear of going against the grain"...it is a tragic state of affairs I tell you...

Some people think that the people are just being repressed and that a lot of westerners hold different viewpoints. To an extent that is true, but I think the younger generation in particular (which I am a member of) has just been so brainwashed by the media and so-called "education system" that I wouldn't be surprised if they actually BELIEVE 99 percent of the illogical crap spewed out as propaganda...

There might be perhaps even around 200 Wagner mercenaries killed.

They apparently found evidence in the Nostradamus quatrains that the U.S.A., China, and the Arabs will defeat and destroy Russia. Could be a reason why they are so confident. And with Putin as leader I am not surprised.

For me, as a supporter of Russia, it is highly frustrating to see things like this happen again and again.

This bombing raid might not have killed official Russian servicemen, but it did kill Russian citizens. It should not have happened. Russia should not have allowed this to happen.

And Russia should make the perpetrators pay the price for killing its citizens. But it won’t happen. The ones who killed Russians (whether in Ukraine or in Syria) will be left unpunished. No retaliation is to follow.

And in the future the Russians will continue to die in Syria while the Americans won’t suffer any casualties. Why? Because nobody dares to mess with the US. They are feared and respected. Russia is not.

The assessment of the Russian central command is that the combined US forces in and around Syria are superior. Indeed, in terms of numbers they are 5 to 10 times greater in every hardware or personnel category. They attempt to provoke, it was to be expected. This prospect should have been taken into account before the start of the expedition in Syria. I guess the generals should have worked an antidote. They are massive, but of poor quality and overextented.

Counterattacking in all fronts is the standard recipe in such cases. Give them hell in Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Ukraine and most importantly to the head of the snake, Israel. Then they will back down. Americans are immigrant mercenaries, they impose no nation, they changed nationality only for money, they have not the balls nor the ethical high ground to die in a fight. I fear not the Americans, never considered them a coherent fighting force.

And in the future the Russians will continue to die in Syria while the Americans won’t suffer any casualties. Why? Because nobody dares to mess with the US. They are feared and respected. Russia is not.

Same here. I find it outrageous that Russia does not fight back against the aggressor. This passive behavior on part of the Russians will just invite more US aggression.

I wish the UN actually was what it was meant to be and held everyone equally accountable. Sadly it is two or three class institution where the top dog gets away with literal murder.

Hopefully China will step in to deter further US aggression in the Middle East, Asia and Europe sooner rather than later. One can "hope".

How can you fight someone much stronger than you without going nuclear? USA has much stronger presence in the region and they are just flexing muscles. Surely, there was no need for 3-4 hour bombing runs, this is what russians call pokazukha. Trying to make russia look weak especially before elections. There's not much can be done by Russia, but to be patient and wait till USA will step on their own rake.
