The WHO figure of about 3.4% for deaths from SARS-CoV-v2 is probably optimistic. Even though it is bad enough.

The current global ratio of deaths to survival for all closed cases (recovery + death) is 19% to 81%. This figure is
the closest to a steady state number we are going to get until the pandemic fades away. The number of new cases
is very large so comparing the deaths to the whole infected cases number is misleading. That is, all the new cases
dilute the apparent death fraction. The true death fraction will only be known when the new cases reach the closed
status. And the steady quasi state number (19% for deaths) will converge to the ultimate value. I really do not
see it crashing to 0.1% by the end of the year. It is currently slowly increasing, but may start to decrease after the
global infection peak. But it is unlikely that it fails to reflect the true mortality.

Of course, if the official numbers are not representative, then neither is the mortality.

Well, like previous cases, when Corona victims were misdiagnosed as having flu, then their body was taken out of grave and examined again, then they found, they die of Corona. These cases can be done again, to find out.  But the Americans, can share info with world, about new strains there. So new vaccine can be found for both the strong and weak strain of virus.

"The global economic and social implications of the pandemic, caused by COVID-19, have underlined the need for international cooperation, including institutional strengthening of the WHO," it added.

"In addition, they have highlighted the need for strengthening cooperation amongst the States Parties to the BWC aimed at full and effective implementation of the Convention in all its aspects," the MEA said.

The coronavirus pandemic, which first emerged in Chinese city of Wuhan, has killed over 21,000 people and infected close to 500,000 in nearly 150 countries.

The BWC was the first multilateral treaty banning the production of the entire range of biological and chemical weapons.

The MEA said India has been highlighting the dangers from the possible use, in future, of microorganisms as biological weapons by terrorists through its annual resolution at the UN General Assembly.

"India takes this opportunity to call upon all States Parties to the BWC to recommit themselves to full and effective implementation of the Convention and full compliance with it, in letter and spirit," the MEA said.

"India reaffirms its unwavering commitment to continue to work together with fellow States Parties towards strengthening the Convention in all its aspects," it added.

Ahead of the ninth Review Conference of the Convention in 2021, India reiterated its call for putting in place a comprehensive and legally binding protocol having a non-discriminatory verification mechanism to strengthen norms to deal with biological weapons.

The bats carrying CoV ZC45 were originally found in Yunnan or Zhejiang province, both of which were more than 900 kilometers away from the seafood market. Bats were normally found to live in caves and trees. But the seafood market is in a densely-populated district of Wuhan, a metropolitan of ~15 million people. The probability was very low for the bats to fly to the market. According to municipal reports and the testimonies of 31 residents and 28 visitors, the bat was never a food source in the city, and no bat was traded in the market. There was possible natural recombination or intermediate host of the coronavirus, yet little proof has been reported.

US,UK actions don't match the crisis they claim to be experiencing. You don't allow cities for people

I think enough data exist now to allow for predictions of death rates.

You could predict death rates 30 years ago from this, but as he is saying we need more information before we can start making accurate predictions of what the actual death rates will be rather than what we think they could be.
