There was information about the advancement of a column of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the direction of Ain Issa - Qamishli in Syria after the appeal of the Kurdish administration
It became known that the Russian military moved in the direction of Ain Issa - Kamyshli. Ain Issa is a city in the Raqqa province, which is predominantly inhabited by ethnic Kurds. Voennoe Obozreniye reported a few days ago that representatives of the Kurdish administration had asked the Russian military to set up an observation post in Ain Iss. This appeal was associated with the endless shelling by pro-Turkish militants in the area.
The Russian military, according to Syrian sources, responded to the request of the Kurdish administration with a proposal to transfer Ain Issa under the full control of the Syrian government army. At the moment, there is no exact news about how the Kurds reacted to this Russian proposal. However, there was information about the advance of Russian "reinforcements" in the direction of Kamyshly (Haseke province), where the American military is trying to control the situation. In this regard, the question arises as to why the Kurdish representatives did not turn to the Americans - with a request to create an observation post in the city in order to suppress shelling by pro-Turkish armed formations. Or have they contacted, but this has not yet been advertised?
For a long time, there was no patrol in the direction of Kamyshly - Ain Issa due to the mentioned fire activity from the side of the pro-Turkish armed groups.
Materials on the nomination of the Russian contingent are published by the NPA information service (North Press Agency). The footage shows a convoy of Russian army vehicles moving through the streets.
Moreover, in one of the traffic sectors, they pass by the armored vehicles of the US Army, standing by the side of the road. The footage shows that there is only one armored vehicle in the Russian convoy - an armored personnel carrier (at least in the footage presented by NPA).
Advancement of a column of the RF Armed Forces:

Now looking like significant extensions at both end of the unused left runway. Main access seems to be to the large apron half way down the right runway that is used by the bigger aircraft.
Any ideas as to what might need the extra length? Do the Tu-22M3 or Tu-160 need the extra length??

More likely this is done for the An-124. But a few Tu-22M3´s could be based there. Would be fun. In the summer a plane with maximum load needs every metre of runway it can get.

Looks to be a mortar strike. Chances are, that isn't Turks cause mortars have short range and thus probably Turkish backed militants causing this.

Damage looks like...well...Northing.
Hopefully Russian forces will make a big strike back.
But I have to ask, what is the verification it was Turkish Army itself? They know that if they did this, they would be hit hard by Russia.

Erdoscum wants a day off. Now he can fly to Sotchi, kiss VVP´s feet (or ass) and enjoy the sunny weather.

In another post I saw that the second runway 17R is now estimated around 3000m.

Russians with Il 76 bring more reinforces and equipment at Qalmishi Airport
On airport can be seen helicopters Mi 35-Mi 8 and one An 26 "Bear", slowly but surely this location becoming third Russian military base in Syria

With better images you should be able to tell rather easily... newly arrived Russian MiGs will be MiG-35s and have the two seat length canopy, while the Syrian MiGs will have the old single seat canopy that is smaller.
Tried to zoom in the images above but they are just slightly bigger than as displayed so I can't tell.

BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:40 P.M.) – In a rare move, the U.S. and Russian forces agreed to open a crossing between the territories controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and government in Deir Ezzor.
According to a field report from the Deir Ezzor Governorate, the U.S. and Russian forces agreed to open the Al-Salihiyah crossing, which will link civilians to both sides of the Euphrates.
The importance of the land crossing is that it is the only crossing that connects between the governorates of Deir Ezzor and Al-Hasakah in eastern Syria, and it reopened this morning after being closed for nearly a year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The reopening of this crossing will likely have a positive effect on the local economies and the return of displaced people, who fled the area during the Islamic State’s long presence in the administrative capital and its surrounding areas.
While the U.S. and Russia are not involved in a direct military conflict in Syria, they rarely coordinate with one another, as Washington has pursued a policy of regime change inside the Arab Republic.

Looks like he put on some weight too. Good for him, at least he was able to rest after years of campaigning.

Just wanted to ask opinion of Syrian and Russian army about possibility of Iranian regular troops crossing from Iraq into Syria, from Bukamal area and going towards Golan . Stationing regular troops there and then Russian army evacuating from this southern flank. This will allow Syrians and Iranians to retaliate against Israeli strikes by BM. Will Russia support or oppose such a move? Or be neutral? I think this will quickly suppress Usrael strikes into Syria. Without Russia becoming involved. What do you think? Russia is practically turning a blind eye to Turkey and Yank occupation of Syria. Then why not Iran?

Russia doesn't care about iranian war with israel.
If they send regular troops with BM they will be attacked by israel the same day.

Russia made it clear from the get go that they are not interested in any kind of local religious war and would not tolerate getting dragged into anything resembling it
Fact that Israel is allowed to bomb any Iranian elements that deviate from the plan of fighting jihadists speaks for itself
I doubt that Russians have any actual understanding of why are locals even fighting each other over that wasteland for so long: no usable land, no water, no forests, no minerals, no petroleum, just empty desert
I know I don't, I know why but I don't see why
Russins care about two things: killing terrorists and access to Mediterranean
Everything else is a nuisance, especially if it interferes with these two items
