Lavrov: the US warned Russia about a strike on Syria in five minutes

MOSCOW, February 26-RIA Novosti. United States warned Russia on the impending strike on Syria in a few minutes, the foreign Minister said Sergey Lavrov.
"Our military was warned four or five minutes in advance. Of course, even if we talk about deconflicting, as is customary in relations between Russian and American servicemen, this kind of notification does not give anything when a strike is already being carried out, " Lavrov said at a press conference following talks with his Afghan counterpart in Moscow.

He recalled that the United States is on the territory of Syria illegally, in violation of all norms of international law, including the resolution of the UN security Council on the settlement of the situation in the country.

The guy who sniffs children's hair, President Bidet, likes to play with fire I see. You can already see a future incident brewing if this is repeated again. Pushkov seems to think that this is Bidet's sign of "America's Return."

Russian Aerospace Forces in Syria covered a gathering of militants from the former republics of the USSR
    February 27, 2021

Over the past decade, the territory of the SAR has become a center of attraction for Islamists from all over Eurasia. A special niche in this jihadist "international" is occupied by immigrants from the former republics of the USSR.

On February 26, 2021, intelligence officers identified a gathering of such militants in the northeast of the Syrian province of Latakia. After that, the Russian Aerospace Forces rushed to cover the gathering of the irreconcilable, which took place at one of their bases in a hilly area near Kban.

Russian aviation launched a series of missile and bomb strikes against militants of the Islamic Party of Turkestan (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation). This large bandit formation is an association of radicals from all over Central Asia, especially there are many immigrants from Uzbekistan. All of them seek to "revive the great caliphate", which will also include the North Caucasus and the Volga region.

The presented footage shows how Russian ammunition hit the militants' base, destroying manpower and fortifications. A barracks, a warehouse, a security post and other structures at the indicated object came under fire.

At the same time, Syrian government forces launched a series of heavy artillery strikes on militant positions near Jebel Zawiya in the southern part of Idlib province. This happened after the attack of the militants, as a result of which the SAA servicemen were injured.

Another quite good Drive article, even the comments Shocked

A recent satellite image of the newly expanded Khmeimim Air Base in Syria, the main hub of Russian military aviation activity in that country, revealed an unusual visitor: an example of the Austrian-designed twin-engine Diamond DA42 light aircraft. Beyond being a popular private aircraft and trainer, it has also been adapted into a surveillance aircraft, and its operator is almost certainly Russia’s Federal Security Service, also known by its Russian acronym FSB, but the story of how this organization ended up with these aircraft is an unusual one.

The Russians making sure that no-one identifies who is talking to who. This is private and must be important.

Not so much asking either, more telling! Note the serious body armour, unusual, these guys must believe the risk is high.

This Tu-154M has returned to Russia over Turkey, so whatever it escorted down was an addition.

Carries aircraft support crew plus provides a aircraft beacon for civilian and military purposes (the accompanying fighters get to turn theirs off).
Privolzhsky airfield is home to the Mig-29SMT still active in the VKS so perhaps...

ELINT/SIGINT observation aircraft. The murder-hobo's rely heavily on walkie talkies, if you can pick up on their conversations than you can predict where they will strike, how they will strike and intercept their battle fronts sufficiently. They can even jam their comms while the fighting commences, basically inducing a fog of war in which friendly fire is a high probability amongst the murder-hobos.

You could even take it a step further. Today even civilians have access to AI generated voice modulating software, in which you can completely copy and fabricate someone's voice. You can have AI store and copy the voices of the captains of the murder-hobo brigades and use it against them. You can use the voices of the separated groups commanders to direct artillery fire against another group, while jamming the comms of the helpless murder-hobo's getting shelled, to prevent them from calling off the shelling.

AI modulated voice technology isn't perfect, and amongst trained forensics specialists/professionals they could easily discover a AI modulated voice from a real one...but how many trained forensics specialists are among the murder-hobos? Even if they had those specialists in their ranks, how effective could they be while being targeted by artillery shells and iron bombs?

Looks like a big carrying capacity boost for the Black Sea fleet is on its way. Syrian Express? I remember Minsk from before but don't recognise the other two.

At this rate it won't take many more for Russia to have nearly as many ships in the Med as NATO (excluding the CVN69 fleet).

Russian Army has been trying to offload them in favor of something better (like Typhoons) for a while because they didn't really pass the mustard

If they didn't pass the mustard then they wouldn't of been in the Strategic Forces. Reality is that it's capable for being cheap, that's why they used them to protect Topol-M's, they bought a cheap and capable carrier so they can base a very capable (and expensive) anti-IED/Mine complex on top of it. The vystrel is cheap, but they wanted something more capable and a little more expensive (Typhoons) so they're placing them with that.

A lot of them already ended up in Donbass with NAF

If they didn't pass the mustard then they wouldn't of been in the Strategic Forces. Reality is that it's capable for being cheap, that's why they used them to protect Topol-M's, they bought a cheap and capable carrier so they can base a very capable (and expensive) anti-IED/Mine complex on top of it. The vystrel is cheap, but they wanted something more capable and a little more expensive (Typhoons) so they're placing them with that.

Thanks for the correction guys. Is it the part Italian one?

Actually that's Vystrel armoured transport and it is old Russian hand me down

Russian Army has been trying to offload them in favor of something better (like Typhoons) for a while because they didn't really pass the mustard

But it's still pretty damn good all things considered, SAA should find them very useful

No, it is a Russian model that other designs have proven to be better and more useful.
