Who are you selling this nonsense to?

That whole claim about 0.5 is not valid with or without weapons.

I am not sure what this whole stupid debate Isos has with theoretical vs real life events in use of aircraft.  In training, always these jets look amazing.  When the shit hits the fan, Rafale's will be dropping out of the sky.  Su-34's lost was roughly 6 or 8.  Wow.

With that said, his comment on Iskander is silly.  Iskander is very accurate to the point of pinpoint accuracy due to its inertial and opto-electronic homing head.

Comparing it to a drone which flies and hits a target when observed from the observation station vs a missile that is smart on its own to the destination is a completely stupid and ridiculous argument. 1 is continuously monitored while the other is supposed to hit its objective on its own. I mean, we can go an talk about cruise missiles that have same issue or the fact that drones have failed continuously but he cherry picks things for his arguments sake.

Anyway, Isos is just being silly.  Maybe he also acknowledges it but who knows.  He will get over it.

Su-30SM is a solid beast. The Su-34 radar isn't that of a Mig-29. Actually, far more powerful and Medo also provided data regarding it, with actual proof and what not.

Comparing Rafale to a Su-35 is even more funny when the Su-35 was never sent to Egypt so it was never actually tested and thus anything said was just yellow journalism.

Now that is resolved, lets move onto things that actually happening and whats going on.

    Really.

Slovakian S-300 the Rafale supposedly "jammed" is a vanilla export version of S-300P, delivered to them back in 1990. It was called "PMU" for export purposes only, as it does not match the PS versions of the 80s the Russkie don't have anymore.
The same version was delivered to Bulgaria, and "jamming it" means nothing else than finally figuring out the precise modulation, and applying dedicated countermeasures to it. The same way, Israelis "jammed" Cypriot S-300PMU1. The only real goal of it was selling and make a point in commercial list. Both irrelevant.

Su-34 used a OKB Leninets B004 PESA radar, combined with Chibiny ECM/IFF suit.
Combined it makes a Sz-141 system which is an optimized bomber radar, made by the same OKB that was responsible for almost all naval aviation radars for heavy bombers.
It's parameters are actually quite impressive.
You lack the principal knowledge about the matters you are "discussing".

Iskander was widely presented hitting with huge precision, including targets on the move. No idea where you took the bullshit from aside from your arse.

The point is that you either know shit, or you are delusional to the level that it makes you blindly charge for your idee fix.
Your little Froggie ego butthurt is killing the remains of common sense, making you unsuitable for any civilized and interesting discussion.

Newer than ukrainian systems that keep destroying su-34. System that were designed by russians 50-60 years ago against which 2012 russian EW  can't jamm properly.

Ukraine was a bit part of the Soviet MIC. So they have deep familiarity and capability with these older systems, including the ability to upgrade them significantly. Ukraine is quiet capable but never had the funding to do as well as they did within the USSR.

Isos spent pages on the Su-34 and proved nothing. His writing that the RCS of an aircraft with underwing armament is "the same" as without it makes absolutely no sense. Then why would they design and build airplanes that carry a deadly arsenal inside the fuselage ?
That the French military industry is rubbish, it is not, but any comparison with Russia does not make sense. From the number of produced fighters, fighter-bombers, strategic bombers, titanium nuclear submarines, helicopters, transport aircraft, tanks, IFVs, APCs, SAM systems.

In Europe, Germany is the absolute number one. If we take the "bragging" of the NATO pact about combat platforms, the Germans are always mentioned in the first place; tank Leopard-2 (performed very badly in his first and only baptism of fire with goat-fuckers), IFV "Puma", APC "Boxer", howitzer PZH 2000. And again, the Russian T-90M can certainly compete with the latest modifications of the Leopard 2, the BMP-3 can penetrate the armor of the "Puma", while the 2S35 "Koalitsiya" the best. The Boxer is quite a bit better than the BTR-82, but not the "Boomerang".

The best from Germany and the best from France.

And one more thing, I feel sorry for the Italians. I still remember my Alfa Romeo 75 1.8 I.E. Turbo. Unfortunately, I did not have that model with the BUSSO V6 engine. It was one of the last true rear-wheel drive Alfa Romeos until the Giulia appeared a few years ago. Not counting the 4C and 8C Competizione models. Italian cars had a "soul", but they made big big mistakes, as is the case with the Lancia Delta, that is, with the second generation. From the best possible platform Lancia Delta HF Integrale that was the first generation of Lancia Delta and the winner of countless rallies, Lancia made a disastrous mistake with the second generation. I have never owned cars with front-wheel drive (boring), diesel engines and especially - automatic transmission, because that's for people who don't like to drive. As long as there are cars with three pedals, I will drive cars. I won't even hear about electric vehicles - let the new generations drive those mobile refrigerators.
I'm sorry that Lancia survives today with only one model sold exclusively in Italy, while Alfa is barely alive.

Do you know why Alfa Romeo owners don't cheer each other on the road?
Because they already did, meeting at a service station in the morning.

Respect, Backman, then you know what I'm talking about. Only once I had the opportunity to drive an Alfa Romeo 75 with a BUSSO engine. Guys, it's pure pornography...
The Alfa Romeo GTV with that engine is far better remembered in car history.

On the topic of cars, I have now decided BMW are shit.
However, I will probably be buying another BMW because the competition are even shitter.

Beamer = shit reliability. Only classed as "premium" because of history and because some of the cars are expensive. But in quality, "exclusiveness" ie quantity on the road and reliability they are now v much midmarket IMO.

Other cars in Beamer class = mindnumbingly boring ie trainspotterish and gay.

It is interesting that the idiotic ORYX lists over 400 "captured" Russian tanks, so they also attach pictures. I think that those pictures are cannibalized and that often the same tank is photographed several times. How is it possible that we almost never see those tanks in action ? And according to their list, it turns out that the Russians lost 5 times as many tanks.
    Heavy notorious lie..  Very Happy

In the BMW world, enthusiasts say that BMW reached its peak with the E46 (3 series), E39 (5) and E38 (7).
    Although I like the E30 (3), E34 (5) and E32 (7) better. But maybe E24 (6 Series) and E28 (5) were the best.
I drive a 3 Series F30 (320i with B48B20 engine) and I have never been satisfied with the design of the car. It's bullshit, crap and disaster. But I still have rear wheel drive, the manual transmission and the classic handbrake.
I didn't have any major mechanical problems but I much preferred the E46 3 Series (325i with M54 engine) I had before that. The car was also lighter, therefore more manageable, and I had an inline six-cylinder. There is no replacement for displacement. In the F30 3 Series you only get the inline 6 engine with 335i (2979 cm3 and N55 engine), although only the 340i with the B58 is a full hit - Both are too expensive ! So you have engines up to 2000 cc and up to 3000 cc and there is nothing in between. The first are with 4 cylinders, while these with up to 3000 cubic meters are with inline 6 engines. They also have models in F30 316 and 318 with less than 1600 cm3, but I don't want to write about that garbage.
The latest 3 Series (G20) no longer has a manual transmission (except the M3), so I'm not interested in that car.
Therefore, the market is spoiled by smaller engines with a lot of unnecessary equipment and some kind of M (S or AMG) packages, while what is worth the most (engine) is now too expensive and beyond the reach of most.
Anyway, I always liked the M5 (E28) the best.
