According to rebel TV, the 79th Airborne Battalion of the Ukrainian Army tried to cross the Seversky Donets River, were subsequently stopped.
People's Militia of the LPR statement says two civilians killed, 5 houses destroyed as a result of shelling.

Quite possible. This whole string of low-level sabotage attempts, the mass evacuation/mass mobilization, the 'stray' shells falling onto Russian territory, the Ukrainian saboteurs being paraded on TV etc. stinks as much as slimy fish head simmering in a trashcan on a 35 degrees moist Bangkok summerday.
You'd expect a little more professionality from those involved. At least the Western three letter agencies and their privatized sidekicks know what they are doing in that regard - meaning that you'd have to look elsewhere.
I am not ruling anything out.

The ukies are trying to provoke Russia into entering the conflict, while the later tries to remove civilian population from the conflict zone and will propel LDNR forces so they can handle the issue on their own, in order to eliminate the factors that may force them to give the West what they are so desperate to get. That is all.

Still not sure why Russia doesn't just fire some kind of small munitions to take out the Ukrainian artillery system and just shrug and say "I didn't do it".

So according to the video posted above by Mercouris, there is no US embassy in Lvov. The diplomats haven't even rented apartments.

Infograph from apparently the Ukrainian military of their claimed equipment violations of the rebels (they always refer to them as Russian Armed Forces). Interesting note to me was the colour code on the Ukrainian side of the contact line. Would seem to indicate that there are AOR's for 13 units (brigades?) on the Ukrainain front lines. Opposed on the rebel side there are 10 such AOR's (not indicated here)

The whole case of "moving US embassy to Lvov" was to do precisely what you say.
There is most likely some US/west diplomats in Kiev, doing the work.
The US is slowly ditching Ukraine, if this is true, Russian media should put it in public space and make a big story of it.
