The maps are accurate, most of the VSU in the east is not receiving any support, counter attacks are impossible when your reserves are being struck by Kinzhal, Bastion, Kalibr, and all other manner of destruction in the rear

Ukrainians asked for them, most of the vehicles are SUVs and minibusses, like Ford Transit and etc. It is mostly donated by people and companies and if I am not mistaken, the national auto agency is also sending confiscated vehicles from smugglers and etc. I rather see them being sent than all the ammo from reserves

But noone in MOD would use such weapons with the only intended effect to be a message

In other words the primary reason for the use of such weapons is to degrade the VSU ability to reinforce beleaguered units in the east

AND simultaneously a message was sent, but it's not a school game, noone uses such weapons "to send a message" unless you're donald trump or state department

The Russian Ministry of Defense published a video of the destruction of a warehouse with Ukrainian weapons by hypersonic missiles "Dagger", this was done with one high-precision strike into an underground hangar.

The Russian armed forces destroyed a large underground warehouse of missiles and aviation ammunition of Ukrainian troops in the village of Delyatyn, Ivano-Frankivsk region, using the Kinzhal aviation missile system with hypersonic aeroballistic missiles.

Note that the use of this kind of missiles was the first official in history. The strike with the Kinzhal missile system was delivered on March 18.

Recall that in February the Russian army held a planned exercise of strategic deterrence forces, during which ballistic and cruise missiles were launched. During the exercises, the Russian Aerospace Forces successfully launched Kinzhal hypersonic aeroballistic missiles, and ships and submarines of the Northern and Black Sea fleets launched Kalibr cruise missiles and Zirkon hypersonic missiles.

You are quite mistaken, they could have carried out the strike with another missile. It's not a school game to display a weapons destructive strength to a foe, this has been done throughout history and the Russians did such things in Syria.

But you are to believe what you wish even if its a total romanticized view on the facts

Sanctions are not suposse to work overnight. It will take its time to see its full effect. But large unemployment and decrease of product its at least expected.

You got it backwards. Sanctions are supposed to be a here and now situation. The state finds ways to counter it that it reduces the effects after long term. That's why CBR said that things go back to normal in Russia in 2024.

This is not Russian military thinking or even political thinking

"Sending a message" is political theater, which you dont see in states except for US, and maybe in other states during election cycles. But you don't need to convey such messages to anyone except the intended target, the VSU

They were not used at a strategic level, because all strategic targets were destroyed week 1

You don't employ weapons against brigade level Barracks, brigade fuel storages, brigade vehicle depots, and brigade weapons and ammo sites to convey a message at the strategic or operational level

The targets are tactical, so any message is received by the recipient, reserve brigades of the VSU

Any other "hidden messaging" is just a consequence of the strikes themselves

But not a political or military objective

The messaging you speak of was done week 1, with activation of RVSN, which dissuaded no fly zones, and fighter jet supplies

Thats the only messaging , that could be conveyed given the lack of deconfliction lines, diplomatic relations, and complete breakdown of communications with the west

Guys the mi24 that was downed that supposedly was VKS, has now been confirmed to be VSU mi24

This is the video that was taken from elevated position, with mi24 being hit and exploding mid air , traveling on screen from left to right

He was sure that the war would be won back then though.

And he's right about Putin wanting to build the Union State (USSR 2.0), but didn't consider the fact that this scenario of arming up the Ukraine to the brim and building NATO infrastructure on its soil was penned by the Americans - Biden in the conferences with Putin in 2021 offered the later to drop China but Putin refused. In return in Nov. 2021 the Ukraine signed a treaty on further NATO integration.

Arestovich also didn't consider that the Ukraine could have just followed the Minsk peace agreements, at the end of the day. This was the best chance for the Ukraine to actually stop the war in the Donbass and maintain its sovereignty.
