But tor is indeed very expensive. But I believe Ukies lost 2 su-24's which are not cheap.

Russia still produces tors. Ukraine produces nothing anymore.

Russians stuff is replacable while ukrainian isn't.

The tor was hidding behind a building which suggests it was reloading. So it destroyed quite a lot of ukrainian aircraft.

Can the tor not have a mobile slave module with 32 or more ready to fire missiles, which goes where it does for a static defense operation/mission.

    Never seen an add-on launcher.

They generally use 4-6 at the same place but on the island there was only one with some igla-10 and zsu-23-2 which is very light considering the location of the island.

They also lost a small boat to tb2 fire.

Ukrinian airfield are still working around Odessa which is surrprising. Russians can bomb them with su-24 and destroy everything on them but they are just using some expensive cruise missiles.

They need to load 24 su-24 with 250 and 500 and carpet bomb the airfield with su-30 in anti radar and air superiority mode dyring the night and from the sea. That should be an easy operation.

This is a bit of a recurring theme, unfortunately. Tor massacres drones and munitions all day long, runs out of interceptors, and the hunter turns into the hunted. They ought to do something about this vulnerable reload phase - maybe put up multispectral smoke screens? I imagine it would be a bitch and half to rearm the Tor under cover of opaque fog but at least you're not an easy target.

Like I said they normally use 4-6 tor togather to protect each other but sent only one on that dumb island. It was previsible they will get annihilated with such low defences.

Western media tells us that Russian weapons are not good enough so countries should purchase weapons from the west.

So how come Western military training is so substandard that hundreds of Ukro nazis trained by the west are surrendering to the Russians even without a fight, just like the Afghan army which was also trained by the west.

The most bizarre thing is the adoration of the m777 155mm howitzer. It doesn't really provide any advantage over the MSTA-B aside from weight.

The island is quite small. Not enough space for a decent networked air defence system or to maneuver before re-loading. But look at the balance. The Kiev regime lost many drones, but more importantly aircraft that can´t be replaced and one of its last boats.

Meanwhile Popasnaya was liberated and a huge ammount of enemy soldiers and material was destroyed in Kharkov. Odessa was also hit.

Romania. I posted on this subject several weeks ago. There are no operational military airfields in Ukraine.

#Ukraine: The Ukrainian Air force is still alive- seen here  are two Ukrainian Su-27 striking Russian facilities on the famous Snake Island in the Black Sea, in remarkable footage filmed by a TB-2 drone.

As we can observe, there is serious damage.

Are they actually Su-27 here? Can someone with better eyes and knowledge confirm? Are Ukrainian Mig-29 capable of bombing?

Every mig-29 is capable of bombing. However it's pretty rudimentary CCIP or CCRP with iron bombs only. Makes sense for them to attempt a propaganda won vs a relatively undefended target close to their shores.

Thanks. This why they were so low?

It could be those new Migs they are using and maybe that's why they were noticed over Odesa. Snake island is not as important for Russia as it is to Ukraine, it's weird to see their massive assault on it. They take so much risks over minor/propaganda victories...

They were flying low to avoid detection from other systems most likely. Russia either needs to really reinforce and increase air defenses or needs to be more proactive with CAP.

It's not so much lighter that a smaller vehicle would tow it...it would still be towed by a 5 ton truck just like the MSTA.

This is where it be useful to have awacs platform, based on a small aircraft like the tu-214, with mid air refuelling. Supported by mig-31bm's.

Them migs will catch those shitty tb2 easily, plus low flying helicopters and other aircraft.

What else is there to do? Keep the ring perimeter over the factory and let nature do the work. Broken/crushed stone hills were recently taken over by DNR troops and they overwatch on the southern part as well. Completely cut off from water as well.
