You are not somehow aware that it is over with Russian status as energy supplier to EU. It will cost EU 200 billions to overcome energy crunch and few years but main outcome is already visible basically. Gas storages are record full, prices are falling, huge LNG infrastructure projects are launched and most importantly - gas is now treated as any other fossil fuel and its consumption is to be further suppressed systematically.ALAMO wrote:

Today it was reported that Italy postponed the next tranche of military assistance to the 404 - people are trying to figure out if we talk about postponing or ceasing. That might effect in return of Russian energy products to Italy, that is a 3rd Euro economy and advanced technologically developed industrial country. They would be happy as a puppy having the advantage of cheap energy over the German economy ... You know, the European integrity in its natural souse.

Nice try. Even if you put together all the LNG in Qatar, the US, and Australia it would not replace the natural gas the EU imports from Russia. And those LNG supplier countries have long term contracts with Asian countries, like Japan, South Korea, and China to fullfill.mr_hd wrote:You are not somehow aware that it is over with Russian status as energy supplier to EU. As for your "estimate" of cost, Germany alone is going to spend 200 billion EUR this year. And who knows about next year. I would not be surprised if this energy "transition" in fact cost the EU over a trillion EUR or more. And you do not have to listen to me about the energy transition time, the Qatari gas minister told that the supply situation to the EU won't improve in less than 5 years and that they better sort out their relationship with Russia if they want supply in the meantime.

The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dreams of going to Crimea next summer after the Ukrainian victory
"Your" people sit in the dark, your "soldiers" are slaughtered ... and you make jokes?
Is there no man in Ukraine with eggs who makes a coup and surrender immediately? Do you have to send people like the guy up there every day?
SIMFEROPOL, November 2 - RIA Novosti. Oleg Kryuchkov, adviser to the head of Crimea on information policy, promised Vladimir Zelensky, who announced his intention to visit the peninsula, a prison cell near the sea.
Earlier, Zelensky, answering the question of what he would do first of all if Ukraine won the conflict, said in an interview with Czech television that he would go to Crimea to see the sea.
"We have no more than 100 kilometers from any pre-trial detention center to the sea in any direction. And not far from two seas at once, the Black and Azov, there is a good correctional labor colony in Kerch . The prison cell is waiting," Kryuchkov told RIA Novosti, commenting on Zelensky's statement .

It would be really uggly to use it as a weapon.
It's good to see they let it keep going.
It has everything to do with the war as the Ukrainians have already used the sea-lanes provided by the deal to conduct attacks against Russia. Twice. And their 'written assurances' don't mean jack. What the hell is that?
Furthermore Russia should care less about whether any food gets to Europe or not, where most of it seems to be going. Is Europe offering Russia to resume exporting fertilizers and other goods through European ports? No
I don't know what Erdogan offered or threatened to resurrect this grain deal but it is a massive walk-back and a pie in the face. The attack on the Black Sea Fleet has effectively occurred without consequence in this case. Then they shouldn't have withdrawn if they weren't prepared to keep to that decision, IMO.
