Russia lost a customer. Europe lost its most prosperous country without which the EU cannot fund itself.

    Sprinter
    @Sprinter99800
German Vice-Chancellor and Minister of Economic Affairs Robert Habeck suddenly said in the studio:❗

"The economic model of Germany was based, to put it simply, on cheap Russian gas and it is no longer there." And secondly, in the always friendly sales market of China. And now there are problems with this."

    Nederl. Krijgsmacht
    @Menkedegroot
Yes, but not only cheap gas from Russia or trade with China or the lack thereof is the problem. What Germany also didn't do (it's called the Dutch disease - abundance of a cheap commodity leads to this) is innovation, research and so on. Especially under Merkel but also before.

    Sorok-Sorokoff
    @SorokoffSorok
I was working with German guys who previously spent their lives on building gas turbine power plants around the world. And from 2000 onward, I heard them whispering, - "Sheiss, GeneralElectric came in, bought our factories, and fired people with good money in pockets, but forever"

    Tom Silver

I vividly see Germany being the first ally of the US to break away. How long do you thing the Germans are gonna hold on knowing deep down that their supposed friend blew up the Nord Stream pipeline and replaced their supply with an expensive alternative?

People have this infantile notion that all problems can be solved with enough research and funding. This is total nonsense. Physics
dictates what is possible. Collecting solar photons has a hard upper bound on what can be collected. This is why there will never be
real cars powered by solar cells substituting for paint. Some toy made out balsa wood that can't go uphill proves that people are idiots.

Electrical energy storage has been worked on for decades and there is no sign of any advance. Batteries will remain a joke because you
cannot force arbitrary numbers of electrons into an atomic matrix. It really does make more sense to use wind and solar electrical energy
to synthesize chemical fuels that can be stored and burned later. Denmark dumps its intermittent wind power electricity into the EU grid
and then buys back stable base-load power. But green-tards think that Denmark is paving the way to future. The future economic oblivion.

Germany is experiencing idiocracy from green-tards. Cheap Russian energy had no alternative aside from nuclear and coal. But green-tards
shit their pants when they think about nuclear energy since they are, after all, autistics.

Sometimes research solves problems you didn't know you had... lots of things were invented while trying to solve some other problem...

A really important factor that is ignored is that a lot of innovation doesn't come from a lab... it comes from a factory where the people making things come up with new solutions that can't be made in a lab.

A case in point was that Russian small ship with the composite super structure that was assembled a piece at a time needing curing for each piece... the first one built took about 3 months to make the superstructure and check that it is all OK and fitted properly, but this was putting it together a piece at a time and letting the glue all set before adding the next piece and letting it set too.

After they had made some they realised they didn't have to do each piece one at a time and more than one piece could dry overnight and with that revelation they managed to make them in less than a week because they were able to optimise the processes where instead of one after the other large numbers of the processes could be done in parallel which massively saved time.

I saw on TV a lecturer said he asked one of those new AI programmes the question... if 3 shirts take 3 hours to dry on a clothes line how long does 12 shirts take to dry... they AI said it was 12 hours, but as the lecturer pointed out the time it takes to dry is 3 hours so putting all 12 shirts out at one time should not effect the rate at which they dry so the answer is 3 hours.

On factory floors sometimes the availability of new materials and new designs and new production processes can improve a design and make it quicker and easier to make... which often means cheaper.

Norway providing hydro sourced base capacity at some stupid price to the EU they had to agree to supply at at the start. Also to supply internally at EU prices so that their local users did not get an economic advantage over the EU. Hence their fertiliser producer being one of the first in the EU to cut production instead of the last. Its a crazy world.

Russia lost a customer. Europe lost its most prosperous country without which the EU cannot fund itself.

It is much better than that... most in Russia who think Russia has a future with the west and of course also those that are a bit racist and think less of countries in Africa and Asia and Central and South America will claim that the west is rich and the rest of the world is poor so Russia should make more money by selling to the rich.

The problem there is that Russia actually makes more money selling to the rest of the world... the Americans had to start a war to get Europe to stop buying energy and raw materials from Russia and they did that because it was sooo cheap and they couldn't compete in any fair way.... they can't produce gas cheaper than Russia can let alone the price of delivery which is quicker and cheaper by pipe.

The point is that Russia was practically giving its products away and instead of being grateful and nice and friendly to Russia what Europe then did was process the wood and use the gas to create products to sell to the world undercutting Russian sales where Russia was also selling but also selling things to Russia for top prices... paper and wooden furniture and chemicals and drugs and machinery produced using cheap Russian gas was not cheap for Russia... Seafood caught on Russian fishing vessels that was taken to European ports because they were closer to the areas the boats fished and those products were sold at an enormous markup to Russia...

Russia did lose a customer but it was a BAD customer and they are much better off without those bastards because not only did they not appreciate the cheap stuff they bought, nor did they reduce prices selling to Russia, but they also thought they could tell Russia who to vote for and what to do and how to behave.

In comparison with the rest of the world Russia is currently scaling back the discounts on energy that they put in place for countries that didn't normally buy Russian energy... these discounts meant they could make enormous profits for a while, which gives them time to set up infrastructure to buy and transport Russian energy to their countries where they can process the energy into something they can sell on the world market... and with Europe no longer buying from Russia then the rest of the world can now make money selling Russian energy to Europe at a huge markup... eventually the discounts will disappear but they will keep buying because it will still be the cheapest on the market... which is why they bought it in the first place.

Countries around the world make all sorts of things they used to get from the EU and Russia can buy from them or make their own... they have already replaced most of Europes cheap food exports to Russia with Russian made food and food from Iran and Turkey and plenty of other countries that don't think they should be punishing Russia for looking after her own interests.

Yes? And what will they do? Will they write angry tweets?

The west goes on and on about Russian spies and Chinese spies but the biggest spies in the world are the US and they spy mostly on their allies because what they want they say out loud before meetings with Russia and China... they talk about leverage and speaking from a position of strength... previously diplomacy was about working out what the other guy wanted and was worried about and was thinking and giving them just enough of that to make them feel happy and safe while getting everything you need and also as much as you want as well.

America spies on its allies using every tool at its command so it can control its allies and force them to do as they are told.

They also use money and bribes, and it is also why they are so hard core anti Huawei, because it is technology that does not have back doors that they can use to spy on everyone.

Didn't Saddam have high tech swedish encrypted phones so he could not be listened to, and of course the swedish were cooperating with the americans so they could read his messages in real time... neutral swedish my arse... never have been, never will be.

A military, scientific and technological alliance between Russia and Germany between those countries would be extraordinary. Europe would be reborn again with a guardian Russia guaranteeing peace. A shame that the Germans are slaves of the United States and so stupid and blind.

If the west admitted they were wrong and actually changed to aim for the goals they claim to want rather than being the greedy bstrds they are they could work with Russia and China and India and the other BRICS countries and do amazing things, but the west are selfish and evil and BRICS is going to be better off without them until they grow up and learn a bit of respect and how to behave with others.

Their economic system is focused on the owners... land owners or those with the money... and no one else.

The Japanese economy is increasingly non-competitive. South Korea and Taiwan already took their place in the semiconductor market. South Korea and China took their place in the consumer electronics market. China is eating their lunch on the automotive market with EVs. If they also start sanctioning Russian oil&gas it will escalate and make things even worse.

At this point Japan is like a third choice source for whatever used to be their main export products.

If you are referring to GDP by PPP, it looks like NATO propaganda sources are trying hard to keep Russia in the 6th place by overestimating figures for Germany.

They won't last long. Russia will have almost 3% GDP growth this year. Next year will probably be even bigger.

It doesn't even need to be complicated.... wind power and solar power could be used to pump water up a hill or into a water tower, or you could use the electricity from wind and solar to convert water into its separate components of oxygen and hydrogen, and then when you need electricity but the wind isn't blowing and the sun isn't shining you can use the water flow downhill to generate power, or use fuel cells to convert the hydrogen into water. You could use ambient air to supply the oxygen and keep the oxygen you extracted from the water for things you use oxygen for... hospitals and rocket fuel etc etc.

Germanys figures are only going to get worse as industry moves to the US...

US clowns are hilarious in their delusional hubris. Pyatt was wanking recently about mighty US sanctions crushing Russia's LNG projects.

What a collection of dangerous f*cktards. There is nothing about the LNG process from turbines to membrane lined LNG tankers that Russia cannot
make itself. I recall these wankers back in 2014 expecting their fantasy wannabe believer sanctions to shut down the Russian oil and gas industry.
Supposedly Russia cannot into oil and gas tech.

The US money supply jumped similarly to its debt. So there is rampant money printing as well.

Side effect, Germany and so the EU is going down the economic drain, thanks to the US or whoever blew the pipelines.

    A Tale of Two Countries

French tyre maker Michelin said on Tuesday it would be closing three production sites in Germany and transferring its customer service centre to Poland, pointing to a "lack of competitiveness of our German operations for our European and export markets".

The company will cease operations at its Karlsruhe, Trier and Homburg sites by the end of 2025, affecting 1,532 jobs.

Scholz and Baerbock thought Russia depended on Germany but are learning without Russian gas its industries are not cost competitive. Meanwhile Russia's economy grows. Foolishly its leader are destroying the German economy. These fools slavishly dance to Biden's tune even while the US blows up its pipelines and lures its industries to the US.

With negotiations underway for Power of Siberia II, the Chinese will soon have the affordable Russian gas that the Germans could have had. There is a reason Michelin in one week is closing 3 German plants and building even more facilities in China.

There was some info about relocating some big business from Germany to the US, because of enormous difference in energy prices.
General mood was about how cheap Russkie gas fueled German economic power, and how powerless it became without that.

The best was in the comment section, where someone said :
it would be great if Germany had a gas pipe connecting them with Russia, agree?
