This comes from where? Ukraine has lost upwards 400 tanks (destroyed or captured) from June 2014 to July 2015.
I just posted the graph that I found on blog that I gloss over from time to time looking for pics. I do not claim info is accurate. I don't even speak the language...

Banned cluster bombs used against civilians in Donbas.

From now on I will cheer the death of every Ukrainian soldier. Don't tell me they didn't know what they were doing or they had no choice. Everyone has a choice. Most Ukrainians drafted to Donbas do not come to serve. Those who do come only intend to kill civilians.

I never shoot the messenger, bre. It's just that it looks like an "official" poster. If that's official, well Ukraine is in its own parallel universe and thinks people can't count. If on the contrary this is true (very unlikeley) then FFS NAF/Russian troopers have annihilated the whole damn tank force and plastered the ATO in about ten days. This means also there's far more damage than 2.5 thousand dead, Ukraine acknowledges.

Ukraine has not signed or ratified the Convention on Submunitions (CCM), neither has Syria, nor Russia, nor the US. It's the use against civilians that constitutes a crime, not actually the conventional ordnance.

There isn't a single day Ukrainian soldiers do not bomb civilians. Not a single day. Going on 2 years now.

Yes doesn't change the fact that the actual ordnance isn't "banned", nor that they're assholes.

Erk wrote:http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/to-your-health/wp/2015/09/02/outbreak-of-rare-mutated-poliovirus-in-ukraine-leaves-two-children-paralyzed/Poliovirus has returned to Europe after a five year reprieve, paralyzing a 4-year-old and 10-month-old in the Ukraine, the World Health Organization said Wednesday.
The WHO said the two cases were in the southwestern part of the country -- bordering Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland -- and that the strain responsible, vaccine-derived poliovirus type 1 or cVDPV1, may still be a threat to the region.
cVDPV is a rare, mutated form of the virus that comes from the vaccine itself. Oral polio vaccines contain a weakened form of the virus that activates an immune response in the body so that it builds up antibodies to protect itself. But it takes some time for this to happen, and meanwhile the virus replicates in the intestines and can be excreted by the person immunized and can spread to others in the community.
This isn't always a bad thing. It can sometimes provide what is called passive immunity to those who come into contact with it.
However, in populations that are under-immunized -- the Ukraine is definitely one of those with only 50 percent of children fully immunized against polio and other vaccine-preventable diseases in 2014 -- the vaccine-virus can circulate for long time, 12 months or longer, and genetically change into a more virulent form that can paralyze. This is what WHO believes happened in the Ukraine.
In a statement, WHO officials said that discussions are "ongoing" with Ukranian health authorities to implement "an urgent outbreak response." This type of plan usually involves a vaccination campaign to cover at least 2 million children under age 5.
"The risk of further spread of this strain within the country is deemed to be high," the WHO said.
This could be serious.

That will shut the door to Ukrainians going to any of those countries.
It may turn out to be a good thing that Kiev government has cut off traffic between Kiev controlled areas and rebel controlled areas, as much as it has.

Semantics but I doubt that there is more than a couple of days in the past year that the Ukrainians have bombed civilians. They might shell or rocket them most days but not bomb them. Bombs come from aircraft.Flagship Victory wrote:KoTeMoRe wrote:Ukraine has not signed or ratified the Convention on Submunitions (CCM), neither has Syria, nor Russia, nor the US. A bomb is something that explodes, regardless of dropped from a plane or a helicopter or from the sky.

Two local residents confessed they wanted to take the radar to a scrap metals collection station
KIEV, September 3 /TASS/. A $215,000 radar from a US Air Force drone has been stolen in the Lviv Region in western Ukraine, Ukraine’s Interior Ministry regional department said on Thursday.
"An officer who works at a training center located in the territory of the Yavorovsky testing area reported the loss to a local police station," the department’s press service said.
The source added that police found the thieves and returned the radar back to its place.
Two local residents confessed they wanted to take the radar to a scrap metals collection station, the interior ministry department said.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated. The men are facing from 7 to 12 years in jail with property confiscation.

In that case the illiterate is you, because they are called "bombs" in other languages. A cannon or howitzer fires shells (or "grenades" depending of the language) and the mortar fires bombs, because they have fins and drop by gravity.
As I recall on the literature of the Great War, British sources talk of "mortar bombs".

This must be one of the counter battery radars. They obviously decided that it was not worth selling as that and was only good for scrap.par far wrote:PapaDragon wrote:
