As informs "RIA Novosti", about 500 people gathered on Wednesday afternoon near the building of the diplomatic mission in action, organized by the LDPR. Explaining their actions the policy of Turkey, whose military yesterday shot down a Russian bomber su-24, the activists threw the Embassy with stones, eggs, tomatoes, cans of spray paint.

As a result, several of the Windows on the second floor of the Embassy was broken, the Agency said. The correspondent of RIA "news" drew attention to the fact that the police officers on duty outside the Embassy, not detained any of the protesters, urging them to remain calm.

This turkmens should be wiped off the face of the earth. The regular ordnance is too good for them. We need something with more punch.

Can't Russian intelligence services locate this scum, and spetsnaz forces eliminate him? This would be one of the easiest retaliations Russian could take.

I think they could use Ramzy forces for that, they know deception well and mountain warfare , and northern Latakia is pretty similar to Chechenia (hilly-mountanious terrain etc.)

BTW. Really easy way to eliminate those turkeys in N. Latakia would be hundred or two BM-21 Grads concentrated fire, and then moving 500-1000m after a each salvo until turkish border.

Russia have enormous amount of those in storage along with ammo so nothing really sofisticated is needed but crude firepower.

"Turkey has moved 20 tanks from west of country to southern province of Gaziantep, bordering Syria, and increased number of F-16s flying patrols along border to 18 as of yesterday," state-run Anadolu Agency said today. Here's a visual that shows you where Gaziantep is in relation to Aleppo and to the Su-24 crash site:

So it is confirmed that S-400 will be placed in Syria and the Moskva's cruiser S-300F will compliment it.  Pretty much Turkeys little stunt will now be their undoing. As soon as Turkey tries again, it will lose more than a plane and pilot.  But they have experience getting shot down, at least by Greece, so this shouldnt come as a surprise to them.

Also, I suppose it is confirmed that all bombers are now to be escorted by fighters and new electronic warfare and ecm systems to be installed as well?

I am sure that the Turks had no idea of the 'gift' that they were giving the Russians with this illjudged action.

As a starter, it will probably cause some blowback onto US/NATO flights in Syria, especially those originating out of Incirlik. Any non RuAF/SAF flight is going to have to be much more circumspect as they will be aware that Moscow is now trigger happy.

Perhaps much more importantly and quite unexpectedly, the the door has now been opened for Russian SAM systems in Syria against a requirement that is very difficult for anyone to object to. After the first S-400 is installed then it must be highly likely that other systems, maybe not S-400, will be installed as the SAA gains more territory. To 'cover' the Turkish border all the way to Iraq of course! This is leading to the very real possibility that Syria will be able to declare itself a controlled military airspace, enforced by the Russian SAMs.

This, an updated Syrian SAM system, is absolutely not what CENTCOM or the IAF wanted to happen, they must have been spitting blood at their 'partners' in Turkey once the ramifications sunk in.

Being really off the wall, how about the French Navy supplying fighter escorts for the Russians?

Rescued Russian Pilot Says There Was No Warning Before F-16 Opened Fire
"There were no warnings. Not via the radio, not visually. There was no contact whatsoever. That's why we were keeping our combat course as usual. You have to understand what the cruising speed of a bomber is compared to an F-16. If they wanted to warn us, they could have shown themselves by heading on a parallel course. But there was nothing. And the rocket hit our tail completely unexpectedly. We didn't even see it in time to take evasive maneuvres."

The difference is that we picked him up from the sea, hospitalized him and then returned him home with C-130 after getting Turkey to stop threatening Cyprus. The same year Russia agreed to supply T-80 tanks, BMP-3 and Buk-M1 to Cyprus and the S-300 missiles after lots of Tu/US threats were sent to Crete.

    That's the difference...

According to an ex Dutch general and ex airforce pilot an order to fire on a hostile plane can come only from the highest command in Ankara.

OK, so S-300 or S-400? These releases are in time order, oldest first.

MOSCOW, November 25. /TASS/. Russia will move its air defense system S-400 Triumf to the Hmeimim air base in Syria, accommodating its air and space group, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said on Wednesday. "The S-400 air defense missile system will be brought to the Hmeimim base at the decision of the commander-in-chief," he said.

NIZHNI TAGIL, November 25. /TASS/. Russia will employ every single resource available, including the S-300 system, to ensure the safety of flights over Syria, Russian President Vladimir Putin told the media. "The S-300 air defense complex will be moved to our air base in Syria. I do hope that this and other measures that we will take will be enough to make flights safe," he said. "I would like to say that we will take the most serious attitude to what has happened and all of our means will be employed for maintaining security," Putin stated.
Earlier, the Russian defense minister noted that Russia's S-400 Triumf air defense systems will be moved to the Hmeimim air base in Syria.

YEKATERINBURG, November 25. /TASS/. S-400 missile systems, deployed to Turkey, will be returned to Russia after Russia’s Aerospace Forces’ operation in Syria is over, their sale is not planned, Russian presidential aide on military technical cooperation Vladimir Kozhin said Wednesday. "There’s no talk about sale. It’s our system that will ensure security; when our units return from there, the system will be returned as well. No one has thought or spoken about any sales. There are no such plans," Kozhin said.
On Wednesday Russian President Vladimir Putin told the media that Russia will employ every single resource available, including the S-300 system, to ensure the safety of flights over Syria. Before that, the Russian defense minister noted that Russia's S-400 Triumf air defense systems will be moved to the Hmeimim air base in Syria.

Greece Agrees With Russian Assessment of Turkey's 'Unfriendly' Actions

On behalf of the country's leadership, the Greek minister expressed his condolences over the destruction of a Russian plane by Turkey's air force and the death of a pilot carrying out coutnerterrorism tasks in Syria. Athens expressed solidarity with the Russian president's assessment of Ankara's actions as unfriendly toward Russia and contrary to the objectives of the anti-ISIL coalition," the ministry said in a statement.

Yes! And a dozen bombs on the exact Turkish territory over violation of which the Turks shot down the Russian a/c. Russia have a valid reason to say that they will hunt down the terrorists where ever they are and in all probability, that part is infested with Turkman/Al Nusra terrorists.
