European gas imports

Germany and Poland keep running Yamal pipeline in reverse flow mode and then complain Russia doesn't send gas through it to Germany.
Silly buggers.

Perhaps Poland needs to do some "virtual reverse flow" BS like Ukraine does.

Which they are doing through a Russian bank which sets the exchange rate and the fees for the conversion from Euros to rubles... and denies that to a western bank or organisation.

Further weakening the US dollar the Russians were happy to use before they were robbed and sanctioned.... they even bought US debt because it was profitable before the US started playing stupid games with its money and using it as a weapon.

Take a fine Samurai sword with a super sharp blade and give it to a stupid teenager and after "cutting" everything in the garden with it including rocks and brick walls when he gives it to the next in line it is more blunt than a hammer.

The thing is that a large portion of the wealth and power that family had was based on the sharpness of the sword, that might be used very occasionally to keep others in line but was never intended to be used like that... people are losing confidence.... should they accept money that is just printed when it is needed.... how much gold is there at fort knox?

Latvia said they are not importing any Russian gas. Because the gas pipeline is under maintenance.
They claim Russian gas is more expensive than LNG. Well, not for long. Once they compete with the gargantuan needs of countries like France, and eventually Italy and Germany the price will go up. Way up.

The spot market price that Russia does not sell on if it can help it is way up, long term contract prices are very reasonable considering the situation... if the roles were reversed and Russia was dependent on western energy it would be cut off completely.

Gazprom has cut all ties to Gazprom Germania. The company is just an empty shell right now.
