Yes Algeria signed a contract for 14 or more although they're talking about Asian countries so it's 6 now but god knows how many will actually get past talking phase, gotta say they love showing Su-57 pictures on their military events sometimes, i guess they really like the fighter jet

If China bought the Su-57, you could power all of Russia with the salt from Sinodefence forums. Not saying it's impossible, especially with the patent information coming out from China's patent office on the Su-57, but still, it would be an insane thing to imagine.

Any future navalised S-57 will hardly need a catapult.

I saw that in that interview, his eyes were telling everything.
I really think that it can start from a carrier unassisted.

Assuming a take off speed of between 250km/h and 300km/h, and starting the clock when you hear the AB kick in, here's what I got.
Average Speed : (250 + 0) / 2 = 125km/h (34.7222 m/s), OR (300 + 0) / 2 = 150km/h (41.6667 m/s)
Time: 11 seconds
T/O distance is between 34.7222 * 11 = 381 metres and 41.6667 * 11 = 458 metres.
---
Distances would be a little longer, since it was already rolling when the AB started. It's still not carrier distances, but with a ramp, flaps, and some chocks to hold it in place, I see it performing quite well off something like the Kuznetsov. Also note, it's a complete guess that this thing is taking off between those speeds. It just seemed about right based on other aircraft. I'd also like to point out that this is an airshow, so it is likely that the Su-57 is loaded up with a minimal amount of fuel and no payload.

Algeria featured it on their mural, while Erdogan ate an icecream with Putin 2 summers ago while examining it
India I believe was also mentioned as an interested party sometime around the last year or two
So that leaves 2 other countries
Vietnam is penned more as a customer for the Sukhoi LTS
Iran and Egypt are as good guesses as any

We have a significant area of sea and some islands to defend, so I think, for now, I am dreaming of Su-35 or Su-30+++.
In my wildest dream I do think of a fleet of Su-57.

It is difficult to know when the AB is in full power, but other than that the acceleration until take off can be considered linear and we can see that even these values in far from optimal conditions are already pretty short. The aircraft spent almost 15 minutes with AB in the exhibition afterwards, so the fuel tank was definitely not empty, BTW.
In terms of actual TO performance from a carrier, I am rather certain that this thing would blow anything else I have seen out of the water... even before the second stage engine is deployed, which will probably mean a thrust increase of 20% (!!) and an acceleration increased by that same measure. The plane seems weightless, I don't know if this is because of the sheer lifting surface or because it is more effectively designed and used, but it is simply outstanding for a plane designed to cruise at high supersonic speeds. And all this, without deploying flaps, which is simply mandatory for most aircraft to take off and from which Su-57 regularly prescinds, as if nothing. I have little doubt that a Su-57K with second stage engines could be used from the short runs on a STOBAR carrier with full internal weapons and fuel with no problem.

I just wonder what will happen when the safety bubble where these babies live finally bursts and leaves them exposed to the hard cold reality
