Chernobyl update. Seems Ukrainian and Russian troops are jointly protecting it.


Major General Igor Konashenkov, said Russian paratroopers had taken control of the area of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, which is located around 100 kilometres from the Ukrainian capital Kiev.
"An agreement was reached with the servicemen of a separate battalion protecting the nuclear power plant of Ukraine on joint security of the power units and the sarcophagus of the Chernobyl NPP", Konashenkov said.

Civilians in Kiev are having weapons dished out to them in preparation for the Russian offensive.

I don't think there is a way Kiev is going to end well. When Civilians take up arms, it doesn't really seem like there is a correct course of action.

Unfortunately some puppet masters aka oligarchs fled in time. A lot of middle managers obviously stayed. Some that miscalculated are probably fleeing right now to Poland, Moldova etc.. as well (considering the imperative on allowing civilians  to carry out their daily lives).

Zelensky's calculation that Putin will let him go for "asylum" elsewhere is a ballsy move for a comedian. It also plays into the American image of "defiance" till the very end.... necessary for a resistance movement, which the CIA/MI6, Poles and the whole gang is dearly hoping for. They got their cells ready to go obv. There is strategy behind it, not stupidity.

It's unlikely but obviously, I would prefer he faces charges too.

I`m all for 2nd amendment, and patriotic sentiment of defending Fatherland with arms, but lets be real - if civilian militia start shooting at superior regular force they get shot back. Much more effectively so.
But then you will have so much photos of bloody people in civies lying dead for you further propaganda goals.
