The Russian Armed Forces were forced to leave Krasny Liman after heroically defending it for three weeks. My theory on the current Ukro-Offensive is somewhat similar to Flaming-Python's:

- Russians high command saw the destruction that happened during the liberations of Mariupol, Volnovakha, Severodonetsk, Popasnaya etc.
- Reconstruction of these places is costing billions, perhaps trillions of Rubles
- They decided to stop attacks to conquer cities/land because Ukrainian are entrenching instead of retreating.
- New decision and mode of operation:
- The Ukrainian Army must be killed first before cities/land can be liberated
- New plan:
- Force, entice and encourage them to come out and attack the Russian Army to "free the land from ze evil Russky occupiers".
- How to implement the plan?
- Thin out the Russian lines and make sure that NATO intelligence means (satellites, electronic surveillance etc.) see it happen.
- Get the Ukrainian soldiers and equipment to get out of the cities, trenches etc and launch attacks
- Retreat when the Ukies attack while pounding them with artillery and air force
- Retreat, retreat and retreat again to encourage Ukrops to venture even further from their defensive positions in cities and trenches
- Get their logistics and supplies stretch out.
- Keep pounding them until they have exhausted themselves and are out of their hideouts in Kharkov, Slavyansk etc.
- Now strike them hard when the reinforcements are deployed (the 300,000 mobilized troops) and enter the cities that are now thinned out from Ukrop forces.

I can also see it that way. because it just impossible, especially in Kherson for lack of aviation. there are 6 airbases there. Ukrainian only hit 2 and at best delaying aviation operations. But Russians wont run out any bases soon. Same can actually be said for Kharkov and current situation in Kremina.. as there are at least 3 airbases, Millerovo, Kursk and Belgorod.

Nonetheless we dont have information on how many sorties flown everyday. 2 sorties/day is a good number while 4 is great but that achieved afaik only in 1973 by Israeli airforce to stave off Arab Army.

The problem is that gap of information.. and disinformation. even in social media. All i have is those "reports" from the ground via those TG channel and twitters which can be misleading either by outright propaganda move, outated information or it's just a small piece without better context.

I don’t post anything reported by Anglo-fascist media or Nazi Ukraine unless it has been verified by multiple Russian sources which have been , up to this point , accurate in the vast majority of cases.

As I posted yesterday, Wehrmacht broke through in Kherson, and it was volatile due to reports of no reserves in the area. That too proved to be correct as they continued to advance for some kilometres until they were finally stopped at Dudchany or tried to bypass it for Beryslav (no reports yet if the defenders still hold the place) if this village is taken  they would have advance over 25km in one day, if my calculations are correct.

They have also managed to break through Russian defence east of Kupyansk , and are continuing the attack on Kremennaya.
On the other side, our guys have made minor gains in Artemovsk, other than that its pretty much all one way at the moment.

In don’t pretend to know the plan or the wider picture of the strategy, so I will stop giving my opinions too from now , since it only seems to lead to pointless bickering. I will just report on what’s happening on the ground, you can take from it what you will.

There are two weak points in this plan:

- massacres of Russian speaking (and now actually Russian ) population - whenever nazipigs enter
- their army is not going to stop growing. New and new waves of mobilization and constant influx of weapons let them rebuild army pretty quick

so  what to do then - withdrawing till Moscow?!

War is ugly, there will be civilians caught in it. Tragic but unavoidable.

- Ukraine has done some 7 mobilizations already. There are not many young men fit for service left on the streets of Ukraine. Most have already been gathered, the rest have already fled the country.
- How are they going to grow the army? with 70 year old pensioners and 15 year old teenagers?

Plenty of young UKrs in towns that didn’t get mobilised. There is still potential, don’t forget. And if they start running low on manpower - they could send in the pole toilet cleaners who could fight for really cheap as “volunteers”

as Regular mentioned above there's plenty of young people ready to be "plucked" by mobilization.  In 35 million country you can find 1 millions conscripts for sure. Those ammo depots are empty but somehow they keep attacking ... perhaps with those empty magazines is just their fog of war?

Thousands, yes. Hundreds thousands, no.
Most of the places were Ukrops took back had a diminished population before the counter-offensive began.
People had already left for Russia and elsewhere.
Some of the people who stayed were actually pro-Ukrainian.
Still, I agree with you about the plight of the pro-Russian ones who could not or did not leave.

What is left of country 404 has currently no more than 25 million people.
There are millions who left for other countries. Most of them are the young ones of military age.
So, no there is not that many people left (ages 18 - 60) to be plucked.
That is why we are seeing more and more Western mercenaries amongst the Ukrainian armed forces.

Anyways, Russian manpower reserves are far superior to Ukrainian ones.
