He has the sovereign power, but he still has to bargain

In that sense sure, Putin has to listen to their concerns and try to find a solution.

But their money in and of itself brings them no power. Russia's sovereign wealth fund, treasury and earnings eclipse their own valuations several fold.

It's always been a hotbed for Russia.

I'm more concerned for the civilians of Crimea.  As harsh and sad as that sounds.

Before people start giving me some anecdotal evidence of "what about Tatarstan?", there are always exceptions to a rule.  Majority of the rest are bad.  If funding for Chechnya dried up, it would devolve to same thing as Daegestan.

Anyway, hopefully this gets resolved sooner than later. Spreading through daegestan these attacks.

Is Russia listening to China who are telling them to not retaliate like they should? Is Putin a coward... Is Putin waiting for Trump to win and hoping he could talk with him? Is it a combination of these things? It makes no sense...

don't worry, fall & winter cold is only 3 months away in Ukraine, so ther's plenty of time to level the power grid even more substantialy than before.
