    HIV, wow oh wow.

This will be nightmare of Maidan soldiers themselves.

Ukraine’s conscription drive ‘increasingly deceitful, coercive and violent’ – The Times

Kiev is resorting to dirty tactics in its efforts to bolster its troops, the British newspaper reports

Ukraine’s mobilization campaign is falling far short of targets, while the effort remains marred by violence, mistrust and rampant corruption, The Times reported on Thursday, citing local officials.

An unnamed conscription officer in Odessa told The Times that “we’re not mobilizing even 20% of what is required.” He noted that there is little enthusiasm among potential soldiers to respond to the summons, while his department is plagued by corruption, mismanagement and disillusionment.

In other cases, many of those who answer the mobilization call are often found to be unfit for service due to serious health conditions, including tuberculosis, hepatitis or HIV, the Times’ source said.

A classic ambush situation which "an occupation army" would avoid.   Instead they stop and take the gifts.   They are not fighting against the people who live there.

The occupants are the Kiev regime, propped up by NATzO and fluffed up with the Nazi Ukr diaspora.

I would still freak out that there is some ukrainian spies poisoning me with such gifts or install a gps tracker. They already showed to be able to do such nasty things, just like the osraeli.

Russia ‘Moving Like a Steamroller’ Through Ukraine-Controlled Territory as US Support Dries Up, by John Miles for Sputnikglobe.com. 10.05.2024.

Moscow is now advancing at its fastest rate in over two years, according to observers – the result of Russia’s commitment to its war of attrition and Ukrainian losses recently suffered during its ill-fated operation in the Kursk region.

Moscow continues to steadily advance through Ukraine-controlled territory as the United States turns its attention towards the Middle East, notes independent journalist Sarah Bils.

The US Navy veteran and co-founder of DD Geopolitics joined Sputnik’s The Backstory program this week as reports emerged that Russia had liberated the coal mining town of Ugledar in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). Russian officials confirmed the development Thursday after the Ukrainian military claimed it was withdrawing from the city after a week of heavy fighting.

Located at an elevation of 614 feet, Ugledar is a strategic link between southern and eastern fronts in the conflict and a crucial supply hub. Russia’s control of the settlement marks a major step towards the complete liberation of the DPR, also allowing it to protect a nearby rail line running from Crimea to the Donbass region. Ukraine had previously launched attacks on Russian supply lines from the city, which claimed a population of about 14,000 in 2022.

“The interesting thing about Ugledar is.. that there's nothing behind Ugledar. There's no fortifications behind Ugledar,” noted Bils. “So what the [Russian] troops can now do is sweep to the west and then come up from the south and hit up Kurakhovo, which is not fortified on the south side. So allegedly the Ukrainians will likely have to retreat again, and that will be from Kurakhovo.”

“The situation is looking like it's kind of panning out to be a lot like at Avdeyevka where the front collapses, the city falls, and then there's no reserves behind it and people are just running,” she continued. “The retreat is actually quite ugly right now.”

The liberation of Avdeyevka earlier this year was seen as one of Russia’s most significant gain in months of fighting. In another sign of a growing breakdown in discipline among Kiev’s troops, Ukrainian soldiers spontaneously fled their positions as the Russian armed forces closed in on the city. Kiev attempted to save face by giving an order to retreat two days later, but by then the plummeting morale of its military had become apparent.

Russia is now advancing at its fastest rate in over two years, according to observers – the result of Moscow’s commitment to its war of attrition and Ukrainian losses recently suffered during its ill-fated operation in the Kursk region. Ukraine’s attack on Russian territory briefly made headlines in Western media but forced the Kiev regime to expend some of its best-trained troops and most advanced weaponry.

“Kursk [region] was a failed endeavor that lost almost 20,000 Ukrainian soldiers,” Bils pointed out. “I'm having trouble understanding why they're not giving anything to Ukraine and it's not because we've run out of stuff to give to Ukraine – we can just create money. I think that the American public have sort of fallen out of love with this idea of taking down Russia via Ukraine when they are now faced with the opportunity to possibly take down Iran via Israel. It's an attention span thing. It's a priority thing. It's an election thing.”

“Russia's moving like a steamroller through the west and those troops that went to the north [in the Kursk region] are not coming back, they're dead,” the analyst added. “So it's getting worse.”

“I think that people need to understand that Ukraine is now just one front of this now very large-scale war, which includes the Levant and parts of Africa,” Bils warned, “I would also include Africa at this point because Ukraine is there and so is Russia… The priorities now have to be shifted because now we're looking at a much wider scale war for America.”

The ongoing conflict threatens to strain the United States to the limit, observers warn, with the US now at risk of being forced to support its ally Israel on multiple fronts while it continues to ship arms to Ukraine and Taiwan.

“In Andrei Martyanov's new book he actually talks about why the ego – the inflated ego and the delusions of grandeur of the United States – will actually ultimately be its downfall,” Bils claimed. “We overestimate our capabilities and who we can feasibly take on.”

The moment of the launch of an air-to-air missile by one Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft at another in the Gorlovka area.

The downed aircraft fell in the territory of neighboring Konstantinovka; the enemy is publishing a video of the debris with red stars painted on it.

It is believed that there was "friendly fire", but its cause at such a short distance is unclear - one plane literally shot down the other at point-blank range.

UPD: The S-70 Okhotnik UAV was shot down.

    Military Informant, [5/10/2024 07:17]
Judging by its appearance, the downed UAV could have been an S-70 Okhotnik .

Considering that they fly together with the Su-57, it was most likely this fighter that shot it down.

    Military Informant

    Military Informant, [5/10/2024 07:24]
Another video clearly showing the fall of the heavy attack UAV S-70 "Hunter" over Konstantinovka.

Of course, the interesting question is what he was doing there and why he was shot down by a Su-57 flying behind him. But we are unlikely to find out.

    Military Informant

    Military Informant, [5/10/2024 07:38]
The most likely reason for the destruction of the Hunter by its own fighter is not accidental "friendly fire", but a deliberate decision to eliminate the drone, which, due to a technical malfunction, could lose control and begin to fly towards enemy territory.

This explains its appearance behind the front line over enemy territory and the hasty turn back of the fighter, which launched an air-to-air missile point-blank at the now uncontrolled drone.

    The strangest things happen.
An S-70 drone seems to have suffered a malfunction behind enemy lines.
An Su-57 approached at close range and destroyed it at really close range.

    Considerations:

1 - As we can see the Su-57 is fully operational and has good sealth capabilities, it was flying behind enemy lines without being shot down.
It is likely that the Su-57 was the mother ship of the drone.
2 - The same applies to the S-70!
    Sanctions here, sanctions there....
But now Russia has this advanced drone in service.
3 - The downside is that the wreckage will be investigated by the USA, in this sense this is one of the accepted risks of UAV use, as when Iran captured the CIA spy drone RQ-170 which was intact. In this case the drone was hit hard, so many components cant be studied the engines and such were not as advanced as in the russian piloted sealth jets, since it's a subsonic UAV.

My reading of the event is positive, because it shows that the industry is performing much better than previously thought.
    We will produce more.

Not enough Ukrainians living abroad have volunteered to undergo military training in order to return home and fight for their country, Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz told journalists on Friday. Only about 300 people have agreed to join in almost three months, the minister said.

The formation of what was dubbed the ‘Ukrainian Legion’ was first announced by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Vladimir Zelensky in early July.

All things considered, I'm quite impressed they managed to find 300 Ukrainians in Poland stupid enough to go back to f̶i̶g̶h̶t̶ die.

    Further details:

Military Correspondent: Russian Armed Forces Lost Newest S-70 Okhotnik Drone in Ukraine, by Vera Basilia for VZGLYAD. 10.05.2024.

Military Correspondent Kots: Russian S-70 Okhotnik Drone Lost for the First Time in Special Operation Zone in Ukraine.

For the first time during a special operation in Ukraine, Russia lost its newest S-70 Okhotnik drone; it was presumably shot down by a missile from a Ukrainian fighter jet, Komsomolskaya Pravda military correspondent Alexander Kots reported.

Kots reported that the S-70 Okhotnik drone was shot down by an air-to-air missile from a leading fighter near Konstantinovka, Ura.Ru reports .

The military correspondent suggested that a possible reason for the loss of the drone could be a failure in the communication channel, which led to the loss of control of the device. Despite this, he expressed doubts that Ukrainian forces will be able to extract any valuable information from the wreckage, since such devices are usually equipped with self-destruct mechanisms.

However, Kots suggested that Kyiv could use the situation to create a media sensation, despite the low probability of obtaining useful data from the drone wreckage.

It was previously reported that the Chkalov Novosibirsk Aircraft Plant plans to begin serial production of heavy attack drones "Okhotnik" in the second half of 2024.

Prior to this , the first flight prototype of the newest Russian strike drone S-70 Okhotnik was rolled out at this plant.

it was presumably shot down by a missile from a Ukrainian fighter jet,

A ukrainian aircraft would not be flying so high and so close to the front line, nor would it attack at such a short distance.
A Su-57 being responsible for the downing of the S-70 would explain why the attack was carried out at close range, since one was meant to be the other's wingman and they would always be flying close to each other during combat.

The latest 'we must have' demand from NATO leaders. But in it is a fun figure. We keep going on here about how many SAMs Ukraine had compared with NATO but here is what they have as opposed to need laid bare. Yikes, 293 spread over the whole of Europe Shocked Shocked they really stripped their stocks to the bone to supply Kiev. Very vulnerable now.

In addition, NATO will have to buy "military equipment", especially air defence systems, ammunition, long-range precision weapons and vehicles. The number of helicopters is to increase from 90 to 104, and ground-based anti-aircraft units from 293 to 1,467. This includes the Patriot, IRIS T-SLM and Skyranger weapon systems, reports Die Welt.

NATzO knows that nobody is going to attack its precious self. That is why there is no effort to update stocks and maintain production capacity. For some reason the

Malfunction or jamming/spoofing I wonder. They should put a failsafe that the mothership can send via some encoded sysem that overrides everything and sends it home

None of that shit works very weil so whats the point?

From understanding, this was one of the earliest prototypes that was lost. So if I was to make a bet, it probably had basic of various tech in it. This was testing of course and there was an issue. So it was shot down.

Later units will be different of course. We shall see what countermeasures they have.

It may not have been due to jamming or spoofing. Ukraine kinda lacks a lot of that capabilities. Could have been sheer failure because it is still prototype.
